Nabeul-Coffee shortage: Professionals in sector, between hammer and the anvil

Cafe owners in the governorate of Nabeul have voiced their dissatisfaction with the shortage of coffee and sugar in the region, clarifying that it has negative impacts on their activities.

Mohamed Amine Nouira, one of the professionals in the sector in Soliman, explained to Tunisie Numérique that the coffee shortage was exacerbated by exorbitant sales prices, placing them between a hammer and an anvil.

He indicated that he and others are compelled to turn to the parallel market to obtain these products at high prices.

According to him, the price of 1 kg of coffee reached 30 DT.
