Nabil Ammar meets with ambassadors of EU countries

As part of the regular meetings with the regional groups of Ambassadors accredited to Tunisia, Mr. Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, held, today June 10th, 2024 a working lunch with the Ambassadors of the Member States of the European Union at the residence of the Ambassador of Belgium, President of the Council of the European Union, reads a press release by the Foreign Ministry.
During this meeting, an in-depth discussion took place on the state of the partnership between Tunisia and the European Union and the prospects for its deepening, which is essentially linked to the political aspect of this partnership. The objective is to pave the way for a more effective approach in order to address the common challenges in a rapidly and profoundly changing global context.
The meeting provided an opportunity to underline the commitment of both parties to strengthen their cooperation at all levels, based on mutual respect and clarity, for better understanding and common interest.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad also highlighted the important role played by Tunisians abroad in the development of their host countries, stressing the need to guarantee all their rights and the necessary conditions to maximize their contribution to the strengthening of relations between Tunisia and these host countries.
In addition, Minister Ammar reiterated Tunisia’s unwavering commitment to defending just causes, first and foremost of which the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, while condemning approaches that perpetuate the policy of “double standards”,&dd the same source.
