Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, received a phone call on May 11, 2023 from Demeke Mekonnen, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
The phone call focused mainly on the strong relations of friendship and brotherhood that unite the two countries. Emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in priority areas.
The two officials also discussed main regional and African issues of common interest.
Minister reiterated Tunisia’s firm and constant position advocating the need to resolve crises and conflicts by peaceful and amicable means and through dialogue and consensus. He also addressed an invitation to his Ethiopian counterpart to pay a working visit to Tunisia, on a date to be mutually agreed.
