The funeral service for the late Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny will be held on March 1 in Moscow, his team shared on Wednesday.
The ceremony will take place at a church in the southeastern Maryino district at 2 pm local time, followed by a funeral at the Borisov cemetery. The body of the late 47-year-old was finally given to his mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, over the weekend, after being faced with an ultimatum to agree to a secret funeral without a public farewell or else that Navalny would be buried at prison.
