Another powerful quake with a magnitude of 7.7 shook Turkey on Monday, according to the data provided by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The epicentre was recorded at a shallow depth of 2 kilometres at 1:24 pm local time, just 7 kilometres south by southeast of Elbistan and 67 kilometres north by northeast of the administrative centre Kahramanmaras. The tremor was followed by a 6.0-strong aftershock some 10 minutes later.
