Norway: Queen Sonja hospitalized for respiratory issues

Queen Sonja of Norway was discharged from an Oslo hospital on Tuesday, a day after being admitted with breathing difficulties, the royal palace said.

“Her Majesty the Queen has been discharged from Oslo University Hospital,” the palace announced in a statement. “The Queen was admitted due to shortness of breath. Examinations show that the situation has normalised.”

The 87-year-old queen will be on sick leave for the remainder of the week, the palace added.
