The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned on Monday that Gaza is facing its most severe humanitarian crisis since the conflict began. According to OCHA, the situation has worsened rapidly, with no aid entering the region for over a month and a half, following the end of a two-month ceasefire and Israel’s decision to block aid deliveries.
“The humanitarian situation is now likely the worst it has been in the 18 months since the outbreak of hostilities,” OCHA said.
In its most recent update, the Health Ministry in Gaza reported that the death toll from Israeli aggression has reached 50,983 martyrs, with 116,274 injuries since October 7, 2023. Since March 18, 2025, the death toll has risen by 1,613 victims, and 4,233 people have been injured.
