Official. Zimbabwe will be well authorized to play CAN 2021

CAF has just validated the participation of Zimbabwe in CAN, despite the suspension of the federation. Certainly, all accreditations will be denied for members of the federation designated by the government of Zimbabwe. Among the other decisions of the CAF meeting, we remark that the executive committee validated the numbers of each selection. Indeed, in the event of a Covid context:

– Any team with 17 positive cases can field a team without substitutes
– Each team that has less than 11 qualified players can ask for the postponement of the match.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the draw for the preliminary round of CAN 2023 will be carried out on Friday, January 21, 2022.
