On this special day, nearly 6,000 mothers were killed in G-a-z-a, leaving 19,000 children orphaned

As the whole world celebrates Mother’s Day, the hearts of more than 19,000 orphans break as they cry for their dearest ones, their mothers. This ache is aggravated by the war that has raged in Gaza since last October.

According to the latest UN Women report, 10,000 Palestinian women were massacred in Gaza, including around 6,000 mothers, leaving 19,000 children orphaned.

“Women who survived Israeli bombings and ground operations have been displaced, lost their husbands and are at peril of starvation. This differentiated impact of the conflict on women continues to make the war against Gaza also a war against women,” indicates the same source.
