One dies, 22 wounded when trains collide in Mexico subway

One person died and 22 were injured in a collision of two trains in Mexico’s capital on Saturday, Mexico City’s Secretary of Public Security Omar Garcia Harufuch announced.

The official published a list of 23 victims, whom he said were taken to hospitals following the accident. “Of the 4 people who were trapped and pressed on the train, we report that the 4 have already been released,” he wrote in a tweet. Garcia Harufuch said the health authorities are continuing to provide medical attention to those in need and that one person had unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
