A person who took two women hostage in Paris on Monday evening has been apprehended by the police, French Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin (pictured) said on Tuesday.
“The hostage-taker was arrested. There were no injuries,” Darmanin tweeted, thanking the local law enforcement as well as the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI).
A man took two victims, a mother and a daughter, hostage on Monday evening, releasing the former first. The negotiations continued throughout the night until the second victim was set free early in the morning, the local media reported.
