Photos of the day: Armed people in a a school for good year start

On the occasion of the commencement of the school year, the Minister of Education Fethi Sellaouti paid a visit to “Labiedh” school in Sidi Bouzid to supervise the start of classes.

As such, a photo album was shared on the official page of the ministry highlighting the activities of the minister during the same visit.

So far nothing abnormal!

Regrettably, the ministry did not anticipate the controversy and debate that could trigger two photos displaying an armed national guard, accompanying Fethi Sellaouti in the middle of the class.

Indeed, the photos in question provoked Internet users and were thus at the origin of a large denunciation campaign waged against the minister.

Was he afraid of pupils whose oldest is under 15? Does a visit to an educational establishment demand the presence of the armed forces? Although he was present to secure the safety of the Minister, does the National Guard officer really have to be present with the children?
