Popularity barometer of the 3 presidents – Wave 17: Saïed and Bouden drop in popularity but remain popular

Tunisia Survey, a specialist in online surveys and digital studies, has just uncovered the results of its popularity barometer of the 3 presidents.

Its goal is to measure the satisfaction of Tunisian Internet users with the performance of the 3 presidents: Kaïs Saïed, Rached Ghannouchi and Najla Bouden Romdane.
It should be noted that the former  wave of the barometer was marked by the entry of prime minister, Ms. Najla Bouden Romdane, designated by the President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed as head of Kasbah, on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Indeed, for the 16th wave of the barometer, respondents’ satisfaction with each of the three presidents was as follows:
  • For Kaïes Saïed, 75% of respondents were satisfied with his performance
  • For Najla Bouden Romdane 74% of respondents were satisfied with his performance;
  • For Rached Ghannouchi 6% of respondents were satisfied with his performance.
This 17th wave of the barometer comes about a month and a half after the appointment of Najla Bouden Romdane as prime minister. The online survey took place from 03 to 15 November 2021. The sample size after screening is 1,957 respondents.
Rached Ghannouchi unpopular for 17 waves already
The frozen house speaker is the absolute record holder for unpopularity. During 17 waves and since March 2020, Rached Ghannouchi has not been capable to do anything to recover the spawning .His popularity has remained low.
For this 17th wave, 92% of respondents are dissatisfied with his performance.
Kaïes Saïed popular despite a small drop
The popularity of the President of the Republic declined by 12 points during the 16th wave with more than 75% of the respondents who were satisfied with his performance as opposed to 87% during the 15th wave 15.
Kaïs Saïed’s rating fell considerably during this 17th wave. 64% of respondents are satisfied with his performance. That is to say a decline in the popularity rating of 11 points.
Over 2 successive waves, the President of the Republic will have accumulated a loss of 23 points in 100 days.
The popularity of Najla Bouden Romdane grows in parallel with Kaïs Saïd, towards decline

A month and a half after the prime minister took office, Najla Bouden Romdane’s popularity dropped by 08 points. 66% of respondents are satisfied with her performance compared to 74% in wave 16.

Lack of trust, lack of a program and lack of experience are the principal reasons for dissatisfaction:
  • For Rached Ghannouchi: 77% are dissatisfied because they do not trust him.

  • For Kaïs Saïed: 74% of dissatisfied people are dissatisfied because he has no program (navigate blindly).

  • For Najla Bouden Romdane: 62% of respondents are dissatisfied because she possesses no political experience.
