“Preparations are underway to make the pilgrimage to Ghriba Synagogue a big success,” Local Tourism Delegate in Medenine Hichem Mahouachi told Tunisie Numérique on Tuesday.
Mahouachi added that nearly 50 media professionals and journalists were invited to make this event a media success and promote the Djerba-Zarzis tourist destination.
The official also assured that all tourism figures show a promising tourist season, adding that 170,000 tourists visited Djerba from January 1 to April 20, recording an increase of 25% compared to the same period of the previous year.
