The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, during his meeting this Sunday morning at the Parliament headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, with Tunisia’s Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Mohamed bin Youssef, praised Tunisia’s role, under the leadership of President Kais Saied, in promoting joint Arab action and defending Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. He stressed the Arab Parliament’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Parliament of the Republic of Tunisia at all levels.
Al-Yamahi, according to a statement issued by the Arab Parliament, considered that the current phase and the challenges and crises facing the Arab nation require solidarity and cooperation at all levels. He underscored the Arab Parliament’s keenness to maintain continuous coordination and consultation with Arab ambassadors and permanent representatives to the Arab League, as part of fulfilling the desired integration between parliamentary diplomacy and official diplomacy in serving the interests of the Arab people and defending their causes.
For his part, Ambassador Mohamed bin Youssef, according to the same statement, hailed the Arab Parliament’s constant support for Tunisia at all levels, affirming that the Parliament of the Republic of Tunisia dedicates all its capabilities to supporting Arab parliamentary diplomacy led by the Arab Parliament.
The meeting was attended, according to the statement, by the Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament, Kamel Mohamed Farid Shaarawi, the Director of Presidential Affairs, Muthar Al-Rawi, and the Political Advisor to the President of the Arab Parliament and Director of External Relations, Ashraf Abdel Aziz.
