President of Café Owners Association reveals expected increase in coffee prices

Speaking with Tunisie Numérique, President of the Café Owners Association Fawzi Hanfi, noted that a meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at the headquarters of the employers’ organization, with the participation of professionals in the sector, to decide the percentage of increase that will be approved for the price of coffee.

Hanfi clarified that this increase is probably to be in the range of 200 millimes, remarking that some coffee shop owners are demanding an increase varying between 500 millimes and 800 millimes, but the chamber will try to rationalize the matter.

The same source pointed out that the increase in the wholesale price per kilogram amounted to 15 dinars, according to the 2025 Finance Law  2025, and will be distributed to retail prices so that coffee prices in coffee shops do not witness a considerable increase.
