President of National Chamber of Ready-made Garments: “Discounts will vary between 20% and 50% at start of this season” [Video]

Mohsen Ben Sassi, President of the National Chamber of Ready-to-Wear, confirmed to Tunisie Numérique that this year’s summer sales season is not much different from earlier years, as it is regulated by Law 40 of 1998.

Ben Sassi clarified that discounts at the beginning of this season will range between 20% and 50%, depending on what each merchant determines following the law.

Concerning the demand and participation of ready-made clothing and shoe stores in the summer sales season, Ben Sassi remarked that it is difficult to determine the percentage at this time, particularly considering the high temperatures limiting customer movement. Regardless, more accurate data may be available after a week or more.

It is worth noting that the summer sales season started the day before yesterday, on Thursday, August 7, 2024, and will continue until September 17, 2024.
