Princess Haya Bint al Hussein, the wife of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sought “forced marriage protection order,” from a judicial court in London. The princess requested for both her children Al Jalila 12 and Zayed 7 to be under a ward of the court , which involves the couple’s children being placed in the hands of the court for major settlements. Furthermore, She inquired a non-molestation order for herself. Sheikh Mohammed rejected the demands and requested the British court to secure the return of his children to Dubai.
Under British law, a forced marriage protection order is aimed accurately at adequately protecting a person from promptly marrying against their will or to powerfully aid someone who is already in a forced marriage, The law can block one’s spouse from being taken forcibly abroad.
