Protesters cleared, US-Canada bridge reopens

The Ambassador Bridge, one of the busiest on the United States-Canada border, has been reopened as the law enforcement officers cleared out the last of the anti-COVID-19 measures protesters, the Canadian police officials stated on Monday.

The bridge, a commercial link responsible for more than 25% of the US-Canada bilateral trade, has once again become operational after the police forces increased their presence by means of deploying more than 50 vehicles, including cruises, buses and an armoured car.

The Canadian police said that more than two dozen people were peacefully arrested, seven vehicles were towed away and five were seized near the bridge that connects the Canadian city of Windsor with the US city of Detroit.
