Russian President Vladimir Putin and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron will meet on February 7 in Moscow, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Friday.
Peskov stated that although “there are many topics on the agenda,” security guarantees will be the top priority. He added the two leaders will hold a joint press conference after their meeting.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s spokesperson Sergey Nikiforov announced Macron will visit Kiev on February 8. Previously, it was confirmed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will meet with Putin in Russia on February 15.
