Putin to visit North Korea for first time in 24 years

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to arrive in North Korea on Tuesday after 24 years amid the war in Ukraine.

North Korea and Russia have significantly increased their diplomatic and economic exchanges in the last few years. Only since July 2023, the two countries have exchanged over two dozen high-level delegations, with 18 of these visits occurring this year alone, according to South Korea’s Unification Ministry.
