Two companies belonging to Qatar Energy and TotalEnergies inked an agreement on Tuesday to supply France with liquefied natural gas over a period of 27 years beginning in 2026 with an annual rate of 3.5 million tonnes.
The agreement was signed between Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies and Saad Charida Al-Kaabi, Qatari Minister of Energy who said that this agreement seeks to ensure France’s energy security and the company’s commitment towards European markets.
