Rouhani calls Trump ‘stupid terrorist’

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called outgoing United States President Donald Trump as a “stupid terrorist” as he lectured on Wednesday just hours before the US head of state’s term ends.

Remarking on the state of relationships between Iran and the US after the killing of Quds Force head Qassem Soleimani, Rouhani stated that it was “unprecedented” for a president to order an assassination and to disclose it in public. He also affirmed that Trump “committed a host of crimes” including making it difficult for Iran to buy medicines during a pandemic.

Rouhani called on the incoming Biden administration to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and pledged Tehran would start complying with the deal once again if the US fully honours its commitments. Nonetheless, he added that conditions will not be the same as three years ago when the US left the deal
