Data collected in the last 24 hours by Russia’s Ministry of Health revealed on Thursday that 820 people died after having contracted COVID-19. The figure marked the sharpest daily increase in virus fatalities registered in the country.
The number of Russia’s COVID cases rose by 21,438 to 7,354,995, according to the data.
The country also registered 820 single-day coronavirus deaths on August 26.
