Russia registers its first COVID-19 vaccine

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus has been registered in Russia.

He stated via Facebook that Russian scientists have passed all the tests necessary and proved the vaccine safe. “Our medicine has adequately coped with the epidemic and now gives hope not only to our country but to the whole world,” he wrote.

Putin said that the Russian vaccine will pave the way to the future without COVID-19, masks, and social isolation and added his daughter has been already vaccinated with the new vaccine
