Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) stated on Friday it has restricted access to the websites of several media, including BBC Russia, Radio Liberty, and Meduza.
The move comes after a number of Western-based companies, such as Alphabet Inc.’s YouTube and Meta Platforms Inc., banned Russian outlets from their pages in response to that country’s invasion of Ukraine.
