Russian court slaps Google with new fine of $50.8M

A Russian court fined Alphabet Inc.’s Google LLC 4.6 billion rubles (approximately $50.8 million) on Wednesday over not removing “fake” related to the war in Ukraine, TASS reported.

Moscow has been quarreling with foreign companies ever since it launched its “special military operation” in Ukraine content, censorship, and data, with this being one of a few fines that have been imposed on Google
