Russian war against Ukraine: Present situation (Ukrainian Embassy in Tunisia)

RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR UPDATES

  • Ukrainian troops are advancing in the south and near Bakhmut.
  • The success of the counteroffensive is measured not only by the area of the de-occupied territories, but also by the destruction of the enemy’s military capabilities.
  • Ukrainian defence forces advance and liberate the territory in conditions of superiority of the enemy.
  • The advancing Ukrainian troops suffer significantly fewer casualties than the enemy. This is the result of professional and careful planning of operations.
  • The statement of Russian propaganda about “NATO’s disappointment” by the Ukrainian counteroffensive is a fake. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg positively assessed the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

RESULTS OF THE NATO SUMMIT IN VILNIUS

  • The Vilnius Summit(July 11-12) accelerated Ukraine’s path to the Alliance –шеclearly confirmed that Ukraine’s membership in NATO is only a matter of time.
  • Moscow will not be able to prevent the decision of Ukrainians on Euro-Atlantic integration.
  • Ukraine is ready to implement the necessary measures to fulfill the conditions of the Alliance before the next summit in Washington.
  • The future of NATO and its member countries is now being decided by the Ukrainian Defence Forces, on the battlefield.
  • The Defence Forces of Ukraine will continue receiving what is necessary from NATO to liberate the occupied territories.

PROSPECTS OF THE GRAIN DEAL

  • On July 17, the previous term of the grain deal expires.
  • The extension of the grain deal is in the interests of the international community. Ukrainian food solves global problems of mankind.
  • Russia once again threatens to refuse to extend the grain deal, seeking to ease international sanctions. It reinforces its blackmail by disrupting the grain deal with terrorist attacks on Odesa port infrastructure.
  • Russia, through its sabotage of inspections, is making efforts to paralyse the activities of the grain corridor.
  • Real security of commercial shipping in the Black Sea will become possible only after the de-occupation of Crimea.
