S. Korea eyes June 3 for presidential election date

South Korea’s Cabinet is expected to decide this week to pick June 3 as the date for a presidential election, following the ousting of former President Yoon Suk Yeol, Yonhap reported on Monday, citing an unnamed official.

“Given the significance of the matter and the issue of designating the election day as a temporary public day, the decision will be approved during a Cabinet meeting,” the official said.
