Sanofi SA plans to make its vaccine against coronavirus available by the middle of 2021, the company’s chief in France, Olivier Bogillot, claimed on Tuesday, noting that production of the vaccine will begin as soon as phase two trials are concluded.
“Our goal is to arrive at Sanofi with a vaccine by the middle of next year. We are indeed in phase 2 now,” Bogillot said in an interview with FranceInfo, adding that Sanofi expects phase two testing to finish in December as the company is “accelerating everything” to speed up the vaccine development process.
