Saudi foreign minister: OPEC+ decision appropriate

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud defended OPEC+’s decision to cut output by 2 million barrels per day from November.

Speaking to Al-Arabiya, the minister insisted the cartel “acted responsibly and made the appropriate decision.” He added OPEC and its allies are seeking to achieve market stability and act in the interest of both producers and consumers and insisted the decision was made for purely economic reasons.
