Shawwal Crescent Visibility Duration After Sunset on 29th Ramadan in Tunisia

The National Institute of Meteorology has indicated that the Shawwal 1446 AH crescent will remain visible in the sky over Tunisia for a duration of 15 to 17 minutes after sunset on the 29th of Ramadan. It is important to note that the determination of Islamic months falls under the authority of the Mufti of the Tunisian Republic.

On Saturday evening, the institute issued an astronomical map on its official Facebook page, illustrating the duration of the Shawwal crescent’s visibility in the skies of several Arab and Islamic countries after sunset on the 29th of Ramadan 1446 AH.

The term “visibility duration” refers to the time the crescent remains in the sky after sunset. Across other Arab and Islamic countries, this duration varies from as little as 3 minutes in some areas to approximately 20 minutes in others.
