Shooting leaves two dead, three wounded in Brussels

At least two individuals were shot dead and three others sustained wounds near a cafe in the Saint Gilles district of the Belgian capital on Thursday, local media reported, citing police authorities.

According to the reports, the area where the incident took place is known for drug trafficking near the Gare de Midi train station in Brussels. The local police department has confirmed that a total of three people sustained injuries, with two of them being in critical condition and the third in stable condition.

The suspect or suspects fled the scene, a police spokesman said.
