Sisi, CIA chief said to have talked Gaza

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has addressed the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip with United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Chief William Burns in Cairo, Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday, citing a presidential spokesman.

According to the source, during the meeting, Sisi emphasized the importance of implementing a ceasefire promptly to safeguard civilians, accelerate the delivery of humanitarian assistance, and avoid further escalation.
