Six people were injured in a “terrorist” attack on a courthouse in Istanbul, Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Tuesday.
Yerlikaya reported that a man and a woman, whom the authorities determined were members of the Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front, classified as a terrorist group in the country, tried to attack a security checkpoint at the Caglayan courthouse.
The assailants were shot dead by the police, while three law enforcement officers and three civilians were injured in the incident.
