Six people injured in a knife attack in Paris

Six people at the Gare du Nord railway station in Paris were injured in a knife attack on Wednesday morning, with the attacker reportedly “neutralized” by the city police who opened fire at the scene.

According to the French news channel BFM TV, the area was put under lockdown by the police for the investigation to take place. Train traffic was also temporarily disrupted on all departures and arrivals from Paris-Nord.

Emergency services were also seen arriving at the station.
