In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, political analyst Slaheddine Jourchi responded to the designation of new ministers and secretaries of state to serve several vacant positions. “We do not have a precise idea either of the reasons for dismissing a minister and substituting him with another or of the criteria adopted in the appointments. It takes time to guarantee the effectiveness of the creation of new structures and bodies,” highlights Slaheddine Jourchi.
He added: “At the regional level, the post of governor is more significant than the post of minister. In a governorate without a governor, other parties share power, which is why the appointment of governors is required. The head of state certainly has a list of candidates for these positions and he can appoint them at any time”
