The National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE) called on Thursday to rationalize the usage of drinking water on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and to delay secondary uses of water, the day of Eid (June 16, 2024), after 6 p.m. to avoid exceeding available resources, particularly with rising temperatures.
The company reported that to ensure the continuity of public service, its services have initiated the required preparations to stop water distribution problems that may emerge during this period, revealing that 1,275 agents are mobilized, including 950 on-call agents and 335 agents to ensure permanence, in addition to the 700 hydraulic works guards for emergency interventions.
The company also indicated that its services are mobilized, throughout the territory, during the Eid period, to interfere urgently to limit disruptions and outages, noting that breakdowns could be recorded at the level of equipment, networks and hydraulic structures.
The company provides its customers with the numbers of its districts in all governorates and the toll-free number 80100319 to receive complaints.
