Spain- Coronavirus Death toll hits 26,299 with 229 new fatalities

Spain recorded 229 coronavirus-caused deaths in the past 24 hours, raising the national death toll from the infection to 26,299, the country’s health officials announced on Friday. The daily growth in COVID-19 fatalities was higher compared to the day prior.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Spain registered 222,857 infections as 1,410 people were tested positive since yesterday’s update.

Meanwhile, a total of 131,148 Spanish residents were discharged from hospitals after they successfully recovered from coronavirus-related diseases.
