Spanish court summons Sanchez’s wife for alleged corruption

The 41st Court of Instruction of Madrid on Tuesday summoned Begona Gomez  Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s wife, to testify on July 5 as a defendant for alleged crimes of influence peddling and corruption.

Gomez was formally denounced by the anti-corruption activist group Manos Limpias for “recommending or endorsing businessmen who submitted bids for public tenders by letter of recommendation with her signature.”
