Start of the work of the ministerial conference of La Francophonie

The work of the 43rd session of the ministerial conference of La Francophonie (CMF) began this Friday, November 18, 2022, in Djerba, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians abroad, Othman Jerandi, and the secretary general of the International Organization of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo.

Several questions are on the table of this conference such as multipartite collaboration within the French-speaking space, the examination of the final project of the “Djerba declaration”, the 2023-2030 strategic framework of the OIF, the membership procedures, the organization’s budget for the year 2023, and the reports of the four previous sessions.

Remark that more than 20 foreign ministers, ministers in charge of the Francophonie, and senior OIF officials will take part in this ministerial meeting.
