Stoltenberg: NATO allies to send 1M drones to Ukraine in 2024

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserted on Thursday that a coalition of member states within the alliance will provide Ukraine with 1 million drones this year.

Speaking during the press conference in Brussels following the alliance’s defence minister’s meeting, Stoltenberg also underscored that 20 allies will collaborate to establish a demining coalition, all aimed at supporting Ukraine in its defence against Russia. Stoltenberg also expressed hope that the United States Congress will greenlight the financial package for Kyiv, emphasising that the delay in sending funds to Ukraine is already having adverse effects on Kyiv’s forces on the battlefield against Russia.
