Strong 6.1-magnitude earthquake shakes Tokyo

A strong 6.1-magnitude earthquake has struck the area near Japan’s capital Tokyo on Thursday evening, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported.

The center of the shake was located in the Northwestern Chiba Prefecture at a depth of 80 kilometers. No tsunami warning has been issued so far.
