Support for community businesses: Kaïs Saïed calls for speeding up financing procedures

The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, welcomed, on Monday, March 3, 2025, Riadh Chaoued, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, as well as Hasna Jiballah, Secretary of State for Community Enterprises.

This meeting focused on accelerating procedures and facilitating the financing of projects led by young Tunisian entrepreneurs.

Speeding up the establishment of community enterprises
During this meeting, the Head of State emphasised the importance of reducing administrative delays and finding new sources of financing to support projects related to community enterprises. According to him, these initiatives can boost the economy and transform each region of the country into a center of wealth and development.

Kaïs Saïed also denounced the bureaucratic obstacles that hinder the development of these companies, noting that some projects are intentionally blocked for reasons that he described as “unnatural” and “not innocent”.

A call to counter the forces of economic blockage
The president cautioned against attempts to sabotage and discredit the initiative of community companies. He pointed the finger at certain retrograde forces, stating that they are linked to influential circles seeking to monopolize national wealth for their benefit.

In this context, Kaïs Saïed ordered the simplification of procedures and called for a concerted effort to counter any attempt to block these companies. He recalled that the country’s natural and economic resources belong to all the Tunisian people, as stipulated in the Constitution.

Community companies, a lever for the local economy
The Head of State considers that community companies are a key tool for creating jobs and promoting local resources. He underscored the importance of supporting these initiatives so that they can truly benefit young entrepreneurs and citizens in all regions of the country.

Through these measures, Tunisia seeks to strengthen the financial autonomy of its citizens and promote a more inclusive and participatory economic model, far from traditional monopolies.
