Syrian actor and Director Hatem Ali have passed away aged 58 in Egypt from a heart attack. Ali was born in the Golan Heights in June 1962.
The multi-awarded director studied theatre in Damascus before beginning a three-decade artistic career in the late 80s.
His late works involved directing TV series such as Aho Da Elly Sar, Kaeno Embareh, Orkadia, Hagar Gohanam and El-Arrab, with his most noticeable directing work being El-Malek Farouk, Omar, Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, Al-Zeer Salem, Moulouk Al Tawaef and many other hits.
