The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, was welcomed today in Damascus by the transitional Syrian President, Ahmed Hussein Al-Sharaa, as part of his visit as a special envoy of the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During the meeting, Attaf delivered a written message from President Tebboune to President Al-Sharaa, conveying his fraternal greetings and extending his congratulations and best wishes for success in his duties during this pivotal phase in Syria’s history.
The two sides examined ways to strengthen bilateral relations, emphasizing the deep historical ties between their nations. They also addressed regional and national developments, with the Algerian minister expressing Algeria’s readiness to support efforts for Syrian national reconciliation.
