Taiwan reports 37 Chinese warplanes near its territory

The Taiwanese Ministry of National Defense reported that 37 warplanes belonging to China’s People’s Liberation Army were detected in the vicinity of the island on Monday.

“The Taiwanese armed forces recorded the activity of 37 aircraft and 8 ships of the People’s Liberation Army of China in the sea and airspace near Taiwan,” the ministry revealed in the report. Twelve aircraft, including eight Su-30 fighters, two J-11s, and two J-16s are believed to have crossed the “median line.”
