Teenager named Islam rescues lives of 100 people in Moscow attack

During a terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow, which tragically resulted in at least 143 people losing their lives and about 152 injuries as per the Russian Investigative Committee, a 15-year-old Russian teenager named Islam emerged as a great hero. Islam, an eighth-grade student and a Muslim was working part-time at the concert hall when the chaos unfolded. When the shooting began , he rushed to assist people and evacuate them from the room through an emergency exit.

Russian media described Islam as a true hero for aiding around 100 people escape the building during the terrorist attack. A video showing Islam leading people out of the building went viral on social media, drawing recognition for his courage and quick action.

In a conversation with “Russia Today,” Islam narrated adhering strictly to the guidelines provided by the authorities during the emergency. His father shared insights into Islam’s heroic act, mentioning that his son was stationed in the ground-floor locker room when the attack commenced. Demonstrating a remarkable presence of mind, Islam promptly unlocked the doors, enabling many to flee safely.

On social media, many netizens lauded Islam’s courage, emphasizing that his action emphasised the true essence of Islam, despite Western attempts to demonize the religion in the context of the terrorist attack in Russia.
