Tunis- Bab Souika: Demolition of a building threatening to collapse

The Municipality of Tunis reported that a demolition operation was carried out on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to ensure public safety and protect the residents of the medina from the risk of buildings collapsing and threatening to collapse.

On the instructions of the Secretary General responsible for managing the Municipality of Tunis, and in coordination with the Municipal Agency for Environmental Services, the Association for the Preservation of the Medina of Tunis, and the Municipal Buildings Directorate, an old building in an advanced state of disrepair was demolished on El Pacha Street, located in Bab Souika.

The operation was carried out employing rigorous technical methods, ensuring the highest levels of safety for residents and passersby. The operation took place in the presence of the various local and regional authorities involved.
