Tunis – Khadra City: Kais Saied visits to address citizens’ concerns

The President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied, paid a visit to the Khadra district of Tunis on Saturday evening, July 27, 2024. During this visit, he was able to see first-hand the deplorable environmental situation in the area, in particular the state of the municipal market and the proliferation of informal trade.

Observation of environmental degradation

The President voiced concern over waste management in the area, underlining the significance of improving the garbage collection and treatment system to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.

Dialogue with citizens

During his visit, Saied took the time to talk with several residents of the neighbourhood, listening attentively to their concerns and requests.

Residents took advantage of this opportunity to share their daily difficulties, particularly those related to living conditions and local infrastructure.

Responses to Resident Concerns

President Kais Saied assured residents that he was dedicated to finding solutions to environmental problems and improving public services in the neighbourhood. He also vowed to fight against the anarchic establishment of informal traders, which contributed to congestion and the deterioration of public space.

This field visit shows President Saied’s commitment to getting directly involved in citizens’ problems and working for concrete improvements in neighbourhoods
